YOUNG STAGE
The Young Stage festival, as an international festival of young artists, was created in 1972 (Karlovy Vary) is an annual professional platform for the presentation of the most promising young Czech artists, in particular in the area of classical music. The past years developed personalities such as Jiří Bělohlávek, Ivan Ženatý, Gabriela Demeterová, Jiří Bárta, Igor Ardašev, Martin Kasík, and chamber ensembles the Smetana Trio, Wihan Quartet, Apollon Quartet etc. Inclusion (2005) of Young Stage into the major festival cycle of the Czech Culture Festivities was definitely a step towards its entrenchment among the most successful music festivals of our country.
